MY Take on the ball:
Finally a ball to fill the HUGE gap between the creatures and the breaks! 900 Global needed a
ball at the price-point and performance level badly, and like they have been doing release after
release, they have really set the bar high for themselves.
The Maniac is all about control. It's a very smooth, even arcing ball that keeps the pins very
low. Excellent for both smoothing out the over under on those pesky wet/dry house shots and
also on flatter patterns. The Highway to Hell pattern in the video had a few games on it before i
threw this ball so there was already some hold created inside, but no matter what the pattern,
this ball just rolls so pure and true, there are no surprises once it reaches the end of the
pattern.
The Maniac comes OOB at 1000, which for me was way too strong. The ball hooked out as soon
as it hit friction. Taking the surface up to 4000 was perfect for me and allows me to use this ball
on most medium volume, medium length patterns. Great addition to the 900 Global arsenal
